Best Places to Propose in Naples, Florida
If you’re looking for romantic places to propose in Naples, Florida, look no further. As a Southwest Florida proposal photographer, I know all the best spots. Whether you’re a local or visiting on an amazing proposal vacation, this guide will help you choose the spot that feels the most you. A location that you’re going to want to remember forever. And those things you’re worrying about? Will it feel meaningful? Will it be private enough? How do I make it romantic and beautiful? I’ve got tips for those too.

Naples Beaches
The most popular place to propose in Southwest Florida is the beach! A lot of my clients are visiting from other states, so the beach is the main attraction when visiting Florida. A sunset beach proposal is always gorgeous and romantic, but keep scrolling if the beach is not your vibe. The beaches can be crowded and Naples does not allow dogs on the beach if you want to involve fur babies. Here are some of my favorite Naples Beaches and what to consider for a beach proposal.
Wiggins Pass
Fees: Park entry fee
Pet friendly: No
Wiggins Pass is a state park with beautiful clear water and natural coastline. It feels more natural and less developed than some of Naples’ other beaches. There is a mile of pristine coastline and multiple parking lots. Head to one of the back parking lots to avoid any crowds and get a secluded feel for your proposal.
Via Miramar
Fees: Paid parking
Pet friendly: No
One of the biggest advantages of Via Miramar is that it feels tucked away compared to some of Naples’ more famous beach accesses. Via Miramar offers a quiet stretch of beach lined with condos and it typically has fewer visitors than other Naples beaches. The beach itself is beautiful, but you can also walk south for extra privacy and to get some photos with the rock formation at Doctor’s Pass. Sunset offers the best lighting, but mornings are also beautiful and offer even more privacy.
Wedding Beach

Pet friendly: No
As the name suggests, Wedding Beach is already associated with some of Naples’ most romantic celebrations. It is a beautifully landscaped beach access point located on the end of 8th Avenue South. A proposal in between the rows of palm trees would look and feel so elegant! Parking is very limited, but I recommend proposing here on a weekday morning for the best lighting and a chance to have the place to yourself.
Cayo Costa

Pet friendly: Yes, but not on the beaches
For the ultimate private proposal, rent a boat charter to take you out to Cayo Costa State Park. This state park is only accessible by boat or kayak. Adventurous couples might like to pack a picnic and go on a kayak adventure! As of writing this, the ferry service is unavailable but private boats and charters can still access it. Naples Gardens and Parks
If you’re looking for something other than a beach proposal, these gardens and parks are some of the most romantic locations in Southwest Florida. Perfect for those wanting a “secret garden” vibe for their proposal.
Naples Botanical Garden

The Naples Botanical Garden may be one of the most romantic locations in Southwest Florida. The gardens offer a beautiful atmosphere with winding paths, tropical plants, ponds, and secluded corners throughout the property. One of my favorite things about this location is the variety. You can walk for just a few minutes and find an entirely different backdrop, which makes engagement photos afterward feel diverse. This location is especially great for couples who love nature, gardening, or a quieter experience away from the beach crowds. Depending on the season, you’ll find different flowers and colors blooming throughout the garden. If you’re going to have a professional photographer you must register for a photo permit here.
Baker Park

Pet friendly: Yes, on leash
Baker Park is one of the most underrated proposal locations in the Naples area. The park offers river views and walking paths that create a relaxed atmosphere. Whether you envision a waterfront proposal, a shaded pathway, or an open grassy area, you’ll likely find a spot that feels right. It’s also one of the more practical choices for couples who want to include family, children, or pets in the celebration. Either sunrise or sunset would be beautiful timing for photos, if you opt for midday look for a shady spot to propose in.
Koreshan State Park

Technically in Estero, Koreshan State Park feels completely different from anywhere else on this list. Here you’ll find historic buildings, giant oak trees draped in Spanish moss, and quiet pathways that feel frozen in time. This location is ideal for couples who love history and nature, with a proposal here feeling full of Old Florida romance.
Downtown Naples
Downtown Naples is perfect for couples who love good food, boutique shopping, and a lively atmosphere. Rather than planning your proposal around a single destination, you can turn it into an entire date night filled with memorable moments. The curated streets have a naturally romantic atmosphere and a huge bonus is that you get the best of both worlds. You can propose downtown and follow up with beach engagement photos. Because the beach is just down the street!
5th Avenue South

This iconic street in Downtown Naples is lined with luxury shopping, romantic restaurants, and lush landscaping. The most scenic alley for your proposal is located beside Brambles Tea Room. The flower arch here is a favorite photo spot and blooms in Spring, although any spot in Downtown Naples is likely to be picturesque. If you hired a photographer, your proposal and engagement photos can even be continued on the beach as it’s just a short walk away.
3rd Street South

Pet friendly: Yes, on leash
3rd Street South is another cute street in Downtown Naples, lined with boutiques, restaurants, and plants. You could spend a morning at the Saturday Farmers Market before finding a hidden area to propose in. Or visit on a weekday for more privacy on this popular street.
Naples Resorts
If you’re visiting Naples on vacation, you could stay at one of the beautiful resorts and propose there! If you’re local, some of these resorts may be available for a day pass or make dinner reservations at the restaurants on property. If you speak to the concierge, the resort staff might be able to assist in setting up a romantic scene or sunset dinner for two.
Ritz Carlton

The Ritz Carlton Naples is an extravagant resort with gulf coast views for the perfect sunset. Propose in the lusciously landscaped courtyard then head down to the beach for sunset photos. There are lots of onsite restaurants to choose from with a steakhouse, mediterranean, italian, and sushi restaurant.
La Playa

Pet friendly: No
LaPlaya Beach Resort on Vanderbilt Beach has tons of curated experiences that create a romantic vacation. From dinner reservations at Baleen, a beachside breakfast for two, and a s’mores kit waiting for you by the bonfire. Locals would enjoy just a dinner at Baleen before proposing on the beach at sunset. La Playa also offers a proposal package with commemorative champagne glasses.
JW Marriott Marco Island

Pet friendly: No
The JW Marriott on Marco Island has some of the most stunning landscaping, luxury amenities, and beautiful Gulf views in one location. You can’t go wrong with a proposal on premises or on the beach at sunset. You can turn the proposal into a full weekend experience, enjoying the restaurants, restaurants, spa, and activities while celebrating your engagement.
Shangri La

Technically in Bonita Springs, Shangri La is a historic 1926 property that offers character and history. It feels more like a hidden estate than a typical resort. The grounds are filled with mature landscaping, and thoughtful details that create beautiful photo opportunities throughout the property. Whether you’re visiting or local, contact the Shangri La staff about a photo permit to propose here. The Shangri La thoughtfully curates their amenities with an organic spa and a farm to table restaurant.
Romantic Restaurants
While I generally recommend proposing before or after dinner, you could look for a restaurant to quietly propose at the table. Or if you are proposing separately, a romantic restaurant can still be a part of your proposal plans. These are some of the most romantic options in Naples.
Baleen
Baleen is one of the most popular restaurants in Naples for romantic celebrations, and it’s easy to see why. Located directly on the beach at LaPlaya Resort, it combines excellent dining with some of the best ocean views in Southwest Florida. Propose on the beach before your sunset dinner reservation celebration. The menu is mostly seafood focused, but they also offer a fantastic brunch.
The Turtle Club
The Turtle Club is one of Naples’ classic beachfront dining destinations. Located directly on the sand, it offers a more relaxed atmosphere than some of the others while still feeling special enough for a major milestone. The menu features primarily locally sourced seafood. This is a great option for couples who prefer an intimate, understated proposal rather than an elaborate production. You can propose during a walk on the beach and then enjoy dinner with your toes practically in the sand.
Sails
Sails offers a completely different experience from the beachfront restaurants. Rather than ocean views, it creates a sophisticated European atmosphere that feels elegant and refined. They serve seafood in a European style, making you feel like you traveled to the Mediterranean. As a vegetarian I’m pleased to see vegetarian and vegan menus available!
A personal location
My favorite recommendation is a location that’s already part of your relationship. Think about your first date, a beach you visited together, your favorite go-to restaurant. If you’re visiting on vacation, consider your airbnb backyard or something that reminds you of your favorite things back home. Adding sentimental touches is what makes your proposal really special!
