As a Fort Myers based photographer, I’m full of location ideas and these are some of my favorite places to take engagement photos. However I always recommend picking based on what you and your partner like to do. So read through my ideas to find one that sparks your interest. If you pick a location you love, the photos will shine with your personality. You could even schedule the session at home or revisit your first date location!
Nothing says Southwest Florida like taking photos at the beach. Lovers Key is a great option (I mean look at the name). You could also consider a beach on Estero Island, like Bowditch Point Park. A little beyond Fort Myers there are also the beaches south in Naples, like Wiggins Pass for a natural scenic location or near the Naples Pier.
Koreshan State Park in Estero is a popular photo shoot location, especially if you love greenery! There are some unique spots there, like the white Victorian bridge and the bamboo forest. Caloosahatchee Creeks Preserve in North Fort Myers is also a nice option for a Florida forest and fields vibe.
Downtown Fort Myers offers a lot of variety if you enjoy an urban setting. I think I can find new locations every time I go there! 5th Avenue in Naples is another urban option with lush landscaping and quick access to the beach! The best of everything? Yes please.
Lakes Park has scenic gardens, including a cacti and succulent area! The Edison Estate is a historic location with lush landscaping as well. The Naples Botanical Garden is a vibrant option, although there is a fee to reserve a session there.
It doesn’t matter where we go, I would be honored to document your engagement. Visit my contact page to start planning! I can’t wait to hear from you.
