Koreshan State Park | Southwest Florida Family Photographer

Family poses with their dog with a historic Koreshan building behind them

I held a giveaway on my instagram to celebrate the launch of my website. The result was this beautiful family session at Koreshan State Park. I had 30 different people enter with a total of 213 entries (from bonuses.) It was really cool to host my first giveaway and I’m thankful to everyone who entered.

The winner was Paloma, another local business owner who does permanent jewelry. You can find her business on instagram at SparkedLuxe or on their website. She chose to use it on a family session with her boyfriend and his family. I met them at Koreshan State Park and the hour long session was a lot of fun!

My favorite thing at Koreshan State Park are the beautiful sweeping oak branches. I love the shots at the dock where the oak branch reaches out over the top and frames them. We also got photos in front of a historic building, the bamboo forest, and on the white victorian bridge. The bridge is a popular photo location and it matches their white outfits perfectly!

Their new goldendoodle puppy joined us for his first photo shoot and he was a joy to meet. He’s also very soft! We originally planned for a beach session but the beaches in Lee and Collier County are a little strict on dogs visiting. Collier County doesn’t allow dogs on the beaches at all! I didn’t want to have any problems during the session that would cut it short. So we switched it to Koreshan State Park which is dog friendly and I think they turned out great. I love the various locations that add variety to the gallery!

If you’re interested in a family photography session in Southwest Florida please reach out. Plus, if you love this location I thought of even more photo ideas while there. Let’s create some magical photos of your family!
