You’ll enjoy local eats on an island that makes you want to sway to “Island in the Sun”. You can also rent a bike and spend your weekend beach hopping on their 25 miles of bike paths, which go all the way from Sanibel Lighthouse Beach to nearby Captiva Island. Just north of Sanibel, Captiva is an even smaller and more private island escape with some beautiful beach resorts and delicious desserts at The Bubble Room.
