Although you don’t have to buy new clothes for your photo shoot, sometimes it’s fun to or you might not already have outfits that look good together! I’ve got you covered, here are some photographer certified spring family photo outfits. Each set has an outfit for mom, dad, a baby/toddler of each gender, and a child aged 6 to 12 of each gender. So there should be something for every family member. Plus, the adult options would also be great picks for a spring engagement session!

Family Photo Outfit Tips

Whether you prefer soft pastels or bold colors, choose spring family photo outfits that complement your location and personal style! Usually your family should coordinate instead of match and there’s certain colors I recommend avoiding but there’s more about that in the style guide I provide my clients! I’ll give you a tip from it for free though: avoid pure white. Go for off white’s or creams if possible.

2026 Spring Trends

I chose these color palettes with mostly classic spring pastels, and researched some trends like this purple set below. Also note that although I picked items to suit these palettes, the great thing about Amazon clothes is that they come in lots of colors! So a lot of the items can be mixed between the color palettes, or you can make your own palette.

Accessories and Footwear

I didn’t include accessories and footwear in most of the collages but I recommend thinking about your location and the weather. You might need to add light jackets (as a Florida girl I need a jacket when it’s under 70!) Shoes should be pretty but practical for the location, if you’re going to be playing with your kids in the grass go for a chunky heel or wedge. Flats are also great, I used to live in flats daily! For men I recommend white sneakers or brown dress shoes.
